SWINDON Supermarine have announced a handful of friendlies for later this summer, including a plum clash against National League Forest Green Rovers, who recently announced ex-Swindon Town boss Mark Cooper as their new manager.

Dave Webb's side, beaten in the semi finals of Evo-Stik League Southern Division One South & West last month, will host Hungerford Town on Tuesday, July 12 (7.30pm).

Marine will also make a short trip to Hellenic League Royal Wootton Bassett Town on Saturday, July 23 (3pm).

Former Town boss Cooper will bring Rovers, who lost out in the National League play-off final to Grimsby earlier this month, to the Webbs Wood Stadium on Tuesday, August 2 (7.30pm).

Meanwhile, Chippenham Town have also lined up a series of summer friendlies ahead of their Premier Division campaign next season.

Mark Collier's Bluebirds will kick off by travelling to Toolstation League new boys Malmesbury Vics on Saturday, July 16 (3pm) and then go to Didcot Town three days later (July 19, 7.45pm).

Chippenham take on hosts Calne in their annual Fred Rutty Cup fixture on Saturday, July 23 (3pm) before hosting Toolstation League Hallen at Hardenhuish Park on July 26 (7.45pm).

Collier's men go to Bridgwater Town on July 30 (3pm) and host Melksham Town, managed by former Chippenham boss Darren Perrin, on Tuesday, August 2 (7.45pm).

Entry prices for all home friendlies will be £5 for adults and £3 for concessions.
