HIGHWORTH Town left it late to grab a point in a six-goal thriller with Longlevens this evening.

The Worthians went into the match with a five-point at the top of the Hellenic League Premier Division and having already defeated the Gloucester-based side 6-1 earlier in the campaign.

However, things got off to a bad for the hosts as they found themselves 1-0 down after just 10 minutes.

Ashley Edenborough levelled for Jeff Roberts’ side two minutes later before Highworth were reduced to 10 men in the 17th minute when Ryan O’Hara saw red.

But new signing Jason Milhench bagged his third goal for the Worthians in just his second appearance to give the hosts a 2-1 lead with 25 minutes on the clock.

Levens restored parity five minutes before half-time and then regained the lead just past the hour mark.

With Highworth staring down the barrel of their second league defeat of the season they managed to snatch a late equaliser.

Royal Wootton Bassett Town booked their place in the third round of the Wiltshire Senior Cup after they defeated Wiltshire League side Trowbridge Town.

Lewis Waldon gave Bassett the lead in the 12th minute before Steve Yeardley doubled the advantage from the spot early in the second half and then Rory Sproule bagged to brace to secure the hosts’ passage into the next round.
