TOWN'S reserves were unable to match the first team's heroics as they went down 5-0 away at Southampton last night.
Reserve team boss Dave Byrne named a youthful line up, with teenagers Will Evans, Matty Barnes and Billy Bodin all involved.
But the Saints dominated at their Staplewood training ground, and five different players got on the score sheet.
Tom Dunford broke the deadlock on 37 minutes, before second half strikes from Anthony Pulis, Jamie White, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Sam Hoskins put the result beyond any doubt.
