PAOLO Di Canio is hoping the FA will respond to his appeal against a charge of improper conduct as soon as possible.
The Swindon manager was handed the charge on January 27 after he was sent off during the 1-0 win over Macclesfield last month.
Di Canio protested his innocence from the moment he was sent to the stands and vowed to defend himself if the FA chose to take action, and he put together his evidence that was sent to Wembley earlier this week.
And the Italian hopes the FA will make the decision sooner rather than later.
“We gave our response on Monday. We sent all our documents to the FA, with our views and how we felt about the decision,” said Di Canio.
“Tuesday we had the game obviously but I heard nothing on Wednesday and Thursday.”
Di Canio is concerned that the FA could announce their decision next Monday - the day before the crucial clash with promotion rivals Crawley at the County Ground.
“I don’t want a situation where they give me the answer on Monday, right before the Crawley game at home. That to me would mean there is something wrong,” he added.
“If they have to make a judgement I hope that they can do it as soon as they can, otherwise it is not right because it means they treat people in a different way.
“That is not fair. They have to give the same judgement to everybody at the same time and not wait before a top game, one that is the most important of the season. We will see.”
