I'm a big Paolo fan. But if he was looking at the directors after Rooney missed a sitter (again) it's as much Paolo's fault as the directors. They're Paolo's players. Admittedly injuries are taking their toll, but the gaffer is right, with what we have, this is not a promotion season right now, maybe later after Christmas, we shall see. still along way to go, but much work to do.

Interesting thought going 4-3-2 but who would you have taken off ?

We couldn't remain with Nathan at Centre half and Ferry at full back so it would have have to have been Williams, Ritchie or Ferry for Macca.

I felt it was the right decision to remove Benson and try to keep what we had at the time.

I thought the work rate from our midfield was outstanding, and special mention to Thompson too, for me he was MoM, what a prospect he is. I dont get to many games these days sp can't judge today's performance against others this season, but I really dont get post match comments like 'mid table at best this season' and 'we have no spirit'

Was I really watching a different game to some, or am I easily pleased, at this moment in time we have been good enough this season to currently sit 6th in the league, and as for spirit, I thought the lads displayed it in abundance today.

As for the comings and goings in the boardroom, and the effect on Paolo, what will be will be. Having read all articles and listened to all interviews, I firmly believe the appointment of Patey is the right move forward off the pitch, and if it means Paolo goes, as much as I don't want that to happen, i'm sure the board will want a replacement with the calibre to achieve the 3 year plan. i dont really see any need for panic...

Me neither Den as I wasn't there either -except to say from the comments on here that seem to indicate that we were not at our best but played ok at times.

Your comments regarding "your well informed source" seem to echo my comments made earlier in the week, imparted from "my local media source" that AB & others wanted the PdC spending spree to stop and that Arbib & AB were perhaps looking to recoup their investments in other words - payback time chaps!

made reference to the dearth of unemployed managers out there but have failed to suggest a name or two?. As I've said before and I'll say again I don't see any obvious choices to replace Paolo if he decides to go and if he does then for me any chance of achieving back to back promotions goes with him because of the lack of anyone with the same desire and passion to succeed just isn't in their psyche..or at least I don't think it is.

When we kept the ball on the ground we looked good in the second half and at the end of the day we were still the better team despite being down to 10 men. I didn't clearly see Flint's foul for the 2nd yellow but the hunch was it was right but the first yellow was a bit soft.

Hello and good morning Sap, how are you? Its all quite interesting at the mo and not so much on it. I didnt go yesterday, but i noticed from the FLShow highlights that even the camera didnt show any highlights of paolo. Which i thought appeared strange (Has Sir bill infringed an embargo on any audio and visual of our great one?), was he the usual character we know and love or was he more reserved?

I have to agree with Wiz though, that i dont believe paolo will go yet. He is a fighter, and i truly believe that he wouldnt go against his own principles.

Having said that, if paolo is to stay longer term, he has to face facts that if he wants his squad to learn by his ways, he must be willing to be taught by his own ways. I.e, practice what you preach. Didnt paolo once say 'you dont have to love me, but follow me and we will win'. This is a great quote, and he should be listening to his own advice with respect to how his relationship with Sir bill is to pan out. He may not like him, but if they think in the same way (on reflection) then together, they and us, can win.

God this season is getting stranger by the day. I'm finding paolo needs to give us more idea on who wanted these players here after all he signed them then he says they are not good enough. Perhaps jake jervis was the man he should have signed, even tho I wasn't a great lover of him.
