8:33pm
Slough kill a Bakrlik penalty and that's nearly it.
8:29pm
Three to go.
8:23pm
Penalty killed.
8:23pm
Connolly bodychecks Skinns. Nothing given.
8:21pm
Great save low to his right by Skinns from Scott.

Penalty killed by Swindon.

8:14pm
Penalty killed by the hosts.
8:11pm

8:10pm
GOAL! (Slough 4, Swindon 1, 42.34)
A big sucker punch for Swindon as Slough score when short-handed, after Josh Bruce was sent to the box for tripping. Dan Davies got the goal with Adam Greener supplying the assist.
8:03pm
The final period is underway.

This isn't over just yet, but the next goal is critical. If Slough get it, this game's over. If Wildcats get it, game on!
7:47pm
END OF SECOND PERIOD
Slough 3-1 up.
7:45pm
This could get interesting if the visitors score another.
7:44pm
GOAL! (Slough 3, Wildcats 1)
Frantisek Bakrlik is binned for holding and seconds later Cats get themselves back in the game on the powerplay courtesy of Nicky Watt, from Aaron Nell and Lee Richardson.
7:39pm
Nell fires across the face with an instinctive effort. That was a half-decent chance. Wildcats turning the screw but just can't find the all-important goal.
7:34pm
The next goal is massive.
7:33pm
Jets back to full strength. Kapicka came the closest on the powerplay.
7:29pm
Two minutes for Adam Greener for the most blatant act of tripping I've ever seen in my life. I tell a lie, it's been upgraded to a 10-minute misconduct penalty. Ouch. Chance for Wildcats.
7:27pm
GOAL! (Slough 3, Wildcats 0, 25.16)
That's two goals inside two minutes and it's play-coach Koulikov that gets it this time. The visitors call a time out. Taylor is back now, by the way.
7:24pm
GOAL! (Slough 2 Wildcats 0, 23.34)
Pliskauskas makes Swindon pay on the powerplay with Connolly supplying the assist. That came seconds after Kapicka nearly levelled despite Wildcats being short-handed.
7:21pm
Two minutes for Loris Taylor for an icing infringement.
7:16pm
Second period is go.
7:15pm
Presumably at some stage Tom Murdy will be back in goal for Swindon, when he recovers from injury of course. Dean Skinns has impressed as a stand-in, though.
7:04pm
Come on Wildcats dig deep = 2 points Simples #swindonwildcats

Swindon were caught cold in the first couple of minutes with a fairly cheap goal, but they have improved since then and looked close to getting an equaliser in the second part of the first period.
7:01pm
END OF FIRST PERIOD
Slough 1-0 up.
6:56pm
A breakout sees Michal Kapicka denied with a angled slapshot. Then he gets nailed about 20 seconds later. Not his favourite passage of play I'd imagine.
6:54pm
Lovely move from Slough that deserved a goal, but Aaron Connolly can only stab at Skinns on the stretch from only a yard out.
6:51pm
No sign of Joe Baird on the ice tonight by the way, he's still on the road to recovery but he is here at the Hangar.
6:49pm
Aaron Nell gets a slapshot off but it's easily saved by Gregg Rockman.
6:47pm
Mostly Slough threatening so far. Dean Skinns has had a few saves to make, less so his opposite number.
6:37pm
GOAL! (Slough 1 Wildcats 0, 2.21)
Alex Barker is given too much space 10 yards out and he fires over Skinns' shoulder and into the top-right corner. Richardson had denied the Jets man expertly seconds earlier. Assists from Darius Pliskauskas and Mindy Kieras.
6:35pm
Lee Richardson is filling in at the back again alongside Jan Melichar.
6:32pm
And we're off.
6:30pm
Swindon have now lost in overtime or a shootout five times in 11 EPL games this season following last night's defeat at home to Bracknell. It's about time that tide turned. Wildcats were utterly outplayed last time they met Slough, but were deserved victors in the pre-season challenge. No idea what will happen tonight.

Lots of loud music at the Hangar, of varying degrees of quality. If you were born in 1974, it's probably quite good.
6:12pm
The players have finished warming up and we're just over 15 minutes from face-off. The more studious of you will have noticed the picture on the Sport home page is now the right way up whereas before it was upside down, but don't get ahead of yourself, you haven't win a prize.

Welcome to Slough, home of the Jets, where Swindon are aiming to replicate their pre-season victory against Slava Koulikov's men.
