PREDICTIONS LEAGUE: Swindon v Yeovil
After that emphatic midweek win against Rochdale, which confirmed Swindon’s Play-off place, coupled with Preston being pegged back by The Gills, Swindon still have a mathematical chance of that all elusive second place in the League.
Win all of our remaining games and it will be down to goal difference as to who gets that second automatic promotion place, providing MK Dons win all their games and Preston win theirs, apart from the game against us. Going into to the home straight it is all still very tight, one slip up by any one club will hand the initiative to the other two.
Swindon cannot afford any mistakes and will need to improve their goal difference, starting with this weekend’s game against already relegated Yeovil.
The match sees the return of former manager Paul Sturrock to the County Ground, who now is preparing for a life in League Two with Yeovil. Swindon must not approach the game thinking they already have the points. Yeovil will be a dangerous opponent. They have nothing to play for apart from pride and the players wanting to impress their new manager.
The Town must be solid at the back and efficient in front of goal. The strikers must convert their chances and the defenders must work as a tight unit to shut out any potential threat.
A Town win, by a good margin, should be the order of the day.
