PREDICTIONS LEAGUE:  Swindon v Walsall

Swindon really missed a trick at the weekend. With Preston only managing a draw, the door was left open for the Robins to take full advantage and heap the pressure on the Lilllywhites. But it wasn’t to be. The team that was to capitalise was MK Dons, managing to win by putting the odd goal or six past relegation threatened Leyton Orient.

Although we can still get automatic promotion, I think we can all resign ourselves that it will be the Play-Offs for us.  Now starts all the permutations as to who will we be playing. Sheffield Utd or Chesterfield , then hopefully Preston or MK Dons or Sheffield Utd or Chesterfield.

Whoever it will be in the semis, we will have to deal with them over the two legs and then, again hopefully, deal with the final at Wembley.

But before all that there is the matter of the rearranged game against Walsall. Swindon will still need to build some momentum for the play-offs and will need a confidence boost after the weekend’s performance. I expect them to go out and get a comprehensive win.
