WES Foderingham says he is “99 per cent sure” he is leaving Swindon Town in the wake of their League One play-off final defeat.

Foderingham is out of contract at the end of the season and, with Town now not on their way to the Championship, the departure of the highly-rated gloveman seems to have drawn a step closer.

“I made it clear at the start of the season that I feel I can play at a higher level,’’ said Foderingham after being beaten four times by a rampant Preston North End at Wembley.

“I want to try and play in the Championship.

“The club (Town) hasn’t approached me and given me a contract and said ‘I want to keep you, here’s an offer’.

“I haven’t had an offer so I’d be lying if I said I hadn’t spoken to other clubs, because obviously, I’ve got to protect myself as well.

“So we’ll see where we’re at.

Asked whether he had received any offers from any other clubs, Foderingham added: “I don’t want to say that, if I’m honest.

Asked in an earlier radio interview whether the loss at Wembley was his farewell match, the goalkeeper replied “99 per cent sure, yes.”
