SWINDON Town's Massimo Luongo has been called up into the Australia squad for their 2018 World Cup qualifier against Kyrgyzstan.
The 22-year-old, who played the full 90 minutes in yesterday's crushing League One play-off final defeat to Preston North End, has been named as part of the Socceroo's 23-man squad for their opening AFC (Asian Football Confederation) secnd round Group B trip to Bishtek on June 16.
Luongo is joined by an international colleague who is celebrating a Wembley victory in Ange Postecoglou’s Australia line-up, with Preston defender Bailey Wright earning a spot.
Jordan, Tajikistan and Bangaldesh make up the reaminder of Group B.
