CAMERON Belford has confirmed he will not being staying at Swindon Town after agreeing a deal with a club closer to his family home.

The back-up stopper, elder brother of former teammate and fellow goalkeeper Tyrell, took to Twitter to announce his departure from the County Ground.

Belford, 26, joined Town on a short-term deal back in March to fill in for his brother's absence through injury. He played once, saving a penalty in the Robins' final day draw with Leyton Orient after Tyrell had been sent off.

In the announcement on Twitter he thanked the Swindon fans, players and staff, reserving special praise for goalkeeping coach Steve Hale.

Earlier in the day, defender Jordan Tunrbull also appeared to say his goodbyes to the County Ground via Twitter.

Turnbull, on loan from Southampton, posted: "Want to say thankyou to everyone at @Official_STFC for an unbelievable season, it's a shame we couldn't finish it off on Sunday with promotion, but I have loved every moment of my time at Swindon and could not have shared it with a greater group of lads.

"I wish Swindon all the luck in the future. Thankyou to all the Swindon town fans who have supported myself and the team throughout the season.''
