SWINDON Town have this morning announced the capture of Liverpool midfielder Jordan Williams on loan.

The 19-year-old will join up with the squad and could go straight into the team for tomorrow's friendly with Everton.

Fellow Liverpool youngsters Kevin Stewart, who was pictured in Swindon last month, and Ryan Kent have also been linked with a move to the County Ground on loan deals, but neither have been confirmed by the club yet.

Williams is the only one of the trio to have a Liverpool first-team appearance to his name, having played in a Capital One Cup clash at the start of the 2014/15 season, and signed new contract at Anfield back in January to keep him at the club until the summer of 2017.

Williams joined the Reds at under-14 level from Wrexham and has been a consistent performer for the club’s under-21s squad and was regularly promoted to train with the first team at Liverpool's Melwood base last term.

He finished last season on loan at Notts County and made eight appearances for the Magpies.
