SWINDON Town's decision to conduct no pre-match or midweek press conferences with the local media and conduct its media activity through the app Fanzai and their own official website has already sparked plenty of debate both locally and nationally.
The action follows on from the club's as-yet unexplained banning of the Swindon Advertiser from such media opportunities since January of this year.
But we want to hear from you, our readers, what you think about the club's stance.
Do you agree with chairman Lee Power's decision and what impact do you believe it will have on the club, media and supporters?
Is the club limiting media access to the obligatory post-match press conference with a manager and a player a sensible move, or will it limit the club's ability to project and market itself beyond a section of its own current fanbase?
We would welcome all your views on the subject, with the aim of publishing as wide a selection as possible of your thoughts in the Swindon Advertiser and at swindonadvertiser.co.uk/sport.
Email your thoughts to sports editor Owen Houlihan at ohoulihan@swindonadvertiser.co.uk or sport@swindonadvertiser.co.uk.
