HELLENIC League side Highmoor Ibis have announced a friendly with Swindon Town on their website.
The game will be played on Monday, August 3, at Reading Town's ground, a day after Town are due to play Liverpool at the County Ground.
Town have developed a relationship with the Hellenic Premier Division side, with Mark Cooper recently taking Sanchez Commock, who scored 18 goals for the club last season, on trial.
“This is something I have been working towards, beginning at the back end of last season by establishing smooth pathways with other clubs,” Highmoor’s director of football Marcus Richardson told the club website.
“I am happy to say that I have gained Highmoor the opportunity to play our biggest game in our history against Sky Bet League One Swindon Town.
“I have been working very closely with Swindon Town as I personally know the manager, Mark Cooper, who has been instrumental in giving me the opportunity to send grass root players to his club.
“We now have the opportunity of playing them on August 3rd, and hopefully keep building the relationship between Highmoor and Swindon Town.”
No announcement of the game has been made by Swindon Town on their own website yet.
