THE MINI-SAGA involving Glentoran striker Jordan Stewart and Swindon Town has taken another turn, with Northern Irishman set for talks in Wiltshire today.

The deal looked to have collapsed yesterday over complications involving the make-up of the fee agreed between the two clubs, with Stewart venting his anger about the situation on Facebook.

It now appears those financial issues have been resolved, with the Glentoran chairman Stephen Henderson telling the News Letter last night that Town had come back in for the 20-year-old.

“The situation at present is that Swindon have reactivated their interest in Jordan,” Henderson said.

“The deal is back on the table and the two clubs have reached agreement over a fee.

“We are now awaiting clarification over add-ons, including things like a sell-on clause.

“Jordan is due to travel to Swindon (on Tuesday) to finalise the deal, providing the add-ons are agreed.

“We believe this will be a good deal for Glentoran Football Club, and obviously for Jordan Stewart who is close to realising his dream of playing full-time football.”
