JORDAN Turnbull has had his appeal against his red card in Tuesday night’s defeat to Oxford United rejected, the Advertiser understands.
Swindon Town put in an appeal against the straight red in an attempt to over-turn the defender’s three-match ban.
However, it is understood that has been unsuccessful and Turnbull will now miss Town’s games against Peterborough, Millwall and Oldham.
The 20-year-old was shown red by referee Gavin Ward just after the half-hour mark of the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy defeat for a kick-out at Oxford skipper Jake Wright.
