LOUIS Thompson has taken Swindon Town’s complement of unavailable players back into double figures after becoming the latest player to succumb to injury, according to reports.
The Town academy graduate, on loan from Norwich City, has suffered a knee injury and will be out for two to three weeks. Thompson has returned to the Canaries’ Colney training base for treatment.
The 20-year-old did seem hampered by a knock in the latter stages of Town's defeat to Peterborough on Saturday. Boss Mark Cooper brushed away injury concerns over the midfield post-match, explaining Thompson's discomfort as cramp.
With Thompson out injured there is a near starting XI of Town players potentially on the sidelines.
Bradley Barry, Nathan Thompson, Jordan Williams, Jordan Turnbull (suspended); Kevin Stewart, Thompson, Fabien Robert; Jordan Stewart (personal issues), Wes Thomas and Jonathan Obika would make a handy 4-3-3 that Town manager Mark Coooper will have to go without on Saturday at Millwall.
Jordan Stewart has returned to Swindon and scored the only goal in a development game at Bristol Rovers today.
