SWINDON Town ladies FA Women’s Premier League South West Division One Sunday game was postponed.

Steve Robertson’s side were due to host Exeter City at Shrivenham’s Barrington Park yesterday afternoon, but the inclement in weather forced the game to be called off.

Robertson was looking for his side to continue their momentum after their 3-2 victory last week over Larkhall Athletic.

Instead they will have to wait until December 6 to return to league action and try to reel in the two sides ahead of them in the league, Exeter and Larkhall.

The postponement left Robertson frustrated, but he vowed to work his team harder this week to make up for the missed game.

“It’s never easy when you keep stop-starting with games, but unfortunatly we’re in a time of the year now where we might have to expect it,” Robertson said.

“The girls went in and did a fitness class today just to keep themselves ticking over.

“It’s important as a team to work hard even when we don’t have games.”
