SWINDON Town Ladies boss Steve Robertson will be looking to stave off complacency when they play host to bottom-of-the-league St Nicholas Ladies tomorrow.

Despite Town knowing they can move a step closer to lifting the FA Women’s Premier League South West Division One title with a win over their visitors, Robertson is only thinking about the three points.

A win would leave Swindon six points clear of the chasing pack with one game to play, however with Chichester City Ladies and Keynsham Town Ladies both with games in hand nothing can be wrapped up this weekend.

“We can’t underestimate St Nicholas one bit,” said Robertson.

“The last couple of teams we have got to play against, I know they are bottom of the league but they will probably relish the opportunity to be that team that messed it up for us.

“I am hoping that will drive the girls on and they will be as professional as they were on Tuesday night.

“It was a really impressive performance on Tuesday night (against Cheltenham Town), considering we played in such a big game on Sunday (against) and then we were away again on the Tuesday night.

“We need to snuff St Nicholas out really early. If we start really quickly, like we have done for the last two or three games, and we are as clinical as what we have been then we will be alright.

“If we can stop them thinking they have a chance of anything then we should grow into the game.

“It is a case of getting the job done. It is not a time for people to be doing anything but their job on the football pitch.

“They are all very aware that they need to stick to their task and they have done that for the last few games and we will see what happens at the end of it.”

Keynsham, who are six points behind with a game in hand going into the weekend, play Larkhall Athletic tomorrow but Robertson won’t be looking at other results as he looks to right the wrongs of last season.

“I won’t look at it until well after our game,” he added.

“Chichester are close as well but they both pay each other a week after we play our last game so there is no point looking at their results.

“The whole season we have gone with that attitude and focused on ourselves.

“We were in a good position last year and we just stumbled at the last bit so I am conscious and so are the girls that we put things right this year.
