SWINDON Town’s interest in signing Crystal Palace starlet Keshi Anderson on loan is concrete, the Swindon Adveriser understands.

Seven League One clubs have been credited with an interest in taking the 21-year-old former non-league hotshot on loan this season, but it is believed that Town’s progressive style of football could nudge them towards the front of the queue.

Town's local rivals Oxford United are also chasing the youngster, who was plucked from non-league by Premier League Palace in February last year after netting a hat-trick against the Eagles in a trial match for Brentford, as are MK Dons, Shrewsbury Town, Northampton Town, Port Vale and Gillingham.

MK Dons, who were relegated from the Championship last term, and newly-promoted Oxford, who sold star striker Kemar Roofe to Leeds United for a whopping £3million yesterday, are understood, like Luke Williams’ Town, to offer the most desirable destinations for Anderson on a footballing basis.

Any move for the up-and-coming Palace frontman is likely to happen on an initial six-month basis and the final decision on his future will be made by Selhurst Park boss Alan Pardew.

Luton-born Anderson played for Southern League Division One Central outfit Barton Rovers, where he netted 32 times in 53 games before making his whirlwind move to the Premier League in 2015.

Last season, he was loaned out to Doncaster Rovers and scored three times in his first five League One appearances – he bagged his first Donny goal by scoring against Swindon in a 2-2 draw at the Keepmoat last September.

Anderson’s Rovers spell came to a premature end when he was broke his leg in a clash with Rochdale in November but in May, he penned a new one-year contract with Palace.

Jonathan Obika and Jermaine Hylton currently make up Swindon’s recognised senior strike force, with frontmen Nicky Ajose, Michael Smith and Miles Storey all departing the County Ground so far this summer.
