WHILE millions of pounds are being splashed on players all around the world, Bradford City have signed goalkeeper Colin Doyle from Blackpool for £1.

The 31-year-old has agreed a two-year contract with the Bantams after they triggered his release clause, having made 35 appearances in League One last year.

OLDHAM Athletic have stepped up their recruitment drive since the appointment of Stephen Robinson as manager.

Goalkeeper Chris Kettings has signed a one-year-deal with the Latics yesterday and becomes the sixth new signing under Robinson, with left-back Jamie Reckford signing following his release from Ross County and Luke Woodland re-signing from Bradford Park Avenue.

Robinson has also agreed deals for Josh Law, Connor Ripley and Lee Erwin, who all previously worked with him at Scottish Premiership club Motherwell.

The Championship club have not disclosed the amount but have confirmed it is more than the £20,000 paid for midfielder Russell Penn in 2009.

MK Dons boss Karl Robinson had said that their asking price for McFadzean, 29, was £500,000.

LEAGUE Two side Crawley Town have signed former Swindon striker James Collins after this contract at Shrewsbury Town was cancelled by mutual consent.

FLEETWOOD Town have ruffled the feathers of National League North side AFC Fylde after their signing of midfielder Dion Charles.

The 20-year-old has signed a two-year deal with the Cod Army but Fylde chairman David Haythornthwaite believed the former Blackpool trainee was still contracted to his club.

The Football Association has no record of Charles having signed a two-year deal with the non-league side back in September so Charles was free to move to any club.
