Town's girls into Gothia Cup last four
SWINDON Town Football In The Community's under 14 girls team moved into the last four of their age group event with two wins at the Gothia Cup in Sweden today.
Town eased past San Francisco Seals 3-0 in the last 16, with a couple of first-half strikes from Lois Beer and a third by Lani Dickinson.
They then followed up by beating Swedish side Tranemo IF 6-1, with two goals each from Florence Ashton and Shannon King, plus strikes by Beer and Isabella Cook.
The girls under 16s and under 15s fared less well, bowing out at the last 16 and last 32 stages respectively.
The under 16s lost 5-0 to Sweden's AIK FF, while the under 15s went down 3-2 to the host nation's Tallboda IF.
