Adver sport's reporter Matt Davies hands out his player ratings from Swindon’s 1-1 draw away at Gillingham this evening.

Lawrence Vigouroux - 6

A steady performance from the Town stopper who did what he needed to tonight, despite getting stick from the home crowd.

Darnell Furlong- 7

Looked comfortable in only his second outing for Swindon, he managed to get forward well and won Swindon’s penalty after being chopped down.

Conor Thomas – 6

Thomas was again asked to play in defence due to Lloyd Jones and Raphael Branco being out injured, at times he was lucky to get away with holding his man.

Nathan Thompson- 6

The Swindon skipper lead by example and used his experience to get him out of some tricky situations in the first half.

Jamie Sendles-White- 6

Along with Thomas he too could have been at fault for holding his man on several occasions but managed to keep danger man Jay Emmanuel-Thomas quiet for the majority.

Brandon Ormonde Ottewill-7

Despite a tough first half, Ormonde Ottewill had a much improved second period, providing width for the visitors on several occasions. Unlucky to be sent off, but can't complain as he didn't give the referee much of a choice due to the accumulation of fouls he commited.

Anton Rodgers- 6

Rodgers did well to keep the ball moving in the first half when not much was happening for Swindon, however he faded in the second half.

Michael Doughty- 7*

Town’s most creative player in midfield and tracked back well when he was needed, tucked his penalty away with no issues.

Bradley Barry- 6

Was pushed further forward than he was used to as he was operating on the right of a front three. He put in a good shift in an unfamiliar position, but drifted in and out of the game.

John Goddard-7

Goddard worked his socks off before being subbed off, despite his hard work he failed to make the most of the chances he was given.

James Brophy-6

Another player who has played in a few positions already this term, like Barry he too was further forward than usual but he often dribbled into trouble.

Substitutes

Ellis Iandolo (On for Barry 78’)- 6

Hard to judge Ellis on his performance as Swindon had their backs against the wall for the majority of his time on the field.

Jordan Stewart (On for Goddard 60’)- 6

Made a nuisance of himself when he came on for Goddard he worked the channels well and cool when he needed to be.
