SWINDON Town ladies boss Steve Robertson is hoping that his side can quickly come to terms with playing in the FA Women’s Premier (Southern) League.
Town suffered a 4-0 defeat at Charlton Athletic on the opening day of the campaign last Sunday and as they prepare to face Tottentham Hotspur, Robertson hopes that his team will be able to compete.
“I think last weekend we were a little bit in awe of them,” said Robertson. “I think we weren’t a million miles away ability wise, I think it is a mental issue.
“We played Tottenham last year in the cup (and lost 4-1) so we are playing a team we already know a little.
“I have watched a few videos from their pre-season and it would be great if we can come home with a positive result.”
