SWINDON Town striker Nathan Delfouneso has this morning left the club to join League Two side Blackpool on a permanent deal.

The 25-year-old only joined Town last summer on a free transfer having been released by Championship side Blackburn Rovers.

Delfouneso has made 24 appearances for the club this season, scoring three goals, but only one of those came in the league during a 3-0 win at home to Rochdale.

The Advertiser understands that the forward has been released by Town in order to join the Bloomfield Road side on a deal that lasts until the end of the season.

Speaking to the Blackpool club website, Delfouneso is happy to be back at a club where he has already enjoyed three spells.

"It's nice to be back. The manager is a big reason why I'm here right now and hopefully I can have a successful time between now and the end of the season,” he said following the move and is available to feature against Yeovil Town this afternoon.

"I want to play as much football as possible and enjoy playing football again. I'm happy that I can get that opportunity here under a manager who I've got a lot of respect for and enjoyed working under previously."
