Adver Sport’s Matt Edwards hands out his player ratings from Swindon Town’s 1-0 defeat at home to Peterborough United this afternoon.

Lawrence Vigouroux: 7

A fine save low to his right to deny Ryan Tafazolli’s bullet header early on and despite getting a hand to Chris Forrester’s goal, could not do enough to turn it around the post

Nathan Thompson: 6

A welcome return and slotted back in to his old role at right-back but guilty of coughing up possession in the build-up to Peterborough’s opener

Lloyd Jones: 6

Had a solid afternoon and got involved with play moving forward a lot more than we are used to seeing.

Raphael Branco: 6

Got the better of the aerial battles at the back and looks to be forming a good relationship with Jones, caught flat footed at times on the turn

Fankaty Dabo: 6

Another solid showing from the full-back, who switched to the right after Thompson departed, but will be looking for better balls into the box offensively

Yaser Kasim: 7

Clearly enjoys the freedom of playing in a free flowing midfield and was only a loose touch or a block away from adding to his goal tally

Ben Gladwin: 7

A confident performance from the QPR midfielder, who was always looking to present himself around the edge of the box. Faded a bit in the second half

Charlie Colkett: 8*

Comfortable enough to show off his skill-set in front of the home fans, which was ‘olé’ stuff at times, and had end product to go with it

John Goddard: 7

Had a bright game as he tried to make things happen for Town in the final third but needed more confidence to take shots on himself

Luke Norris: 6

As has become his trademark of late, a dogged performance from the striker as he worked hard and tried to get on the end of things in the box

Islam Feruz: 5

A lot of endeavor up top but barely got a sniff at the ball. A shot at a tight angle in the first half, his only moment of note

Subs

Jermaine Hylton (on for Feruz 57’): 6

As has been the case in recent performances, he came on and added a lot of zip to Town’s attacking play but will be disappointed with his finishing

Jordan Stewart (on for Goddard 78’): 6

Looked willing to make an impact after his arrival and almost carved open a chance down the left for Hylton

James Brophy (on for Thompson 78’): 5

Saw very little of the ball after coming on
