FORMER Oxford United, Queen's Park Rangers and Red Star Belgrade striker Josh Parker played and scored in Swindon Town's 1-1 Central League draw against Cheltenham Town at lunchtime.

Parker, 26, started the match at Cheltenham's Quat Goose Lane training ground for the visiting side, led by Town coach Ross Embleton and netted early in the second half to restore parity after Dan Holma's penalty had given the home side the lead in the opening period.

The 22-times capped Antigua & Barbuda forward, who can also play on the wing, made six appearances for Queens Park Rangers between 2009 and 2011 and went on to feature for a further nine clubs, including three loan stints.

Goalless spells at Northampton, Wycombe, Oldham and Dagenham & Redbridge between 2010 and 2012 followed before he made 16 scoreless appearances for Oxford United in the 2012-13 campaign.

Parker went on to score 14 goals in 42 games for Nogometni Klub Domžale in the Slovenian league and then joined 1991 European Cup champions Red Star Belgrade in 2015-16, for whom he netted four times in 12 appearances.

He made seven loan appearances for Scottish Premier side Aberdeen in 2015 and only signed for National League South side Wealdstone last week.

Town's development team line-up at Cheltenham also included Will Henry, Conor Thomas, Tom Smith, Sean Murray and Jordan Stewart.
