ANTON Rodgers is the only fresh injury concern for Swindon Town ahead of Saturday’s must-win League One match at home to Millwall.

The 24-year-old midfielder has been suffering with a back issue and pulled out of Tuesday’s development game away at Bristol Rovers, with the club keen to get to full diagnosis of the complaint before deciding whether or not he will be fit to face the Lions.

Fellow midfielder Yaser Kasim played the full 90 minutes of that midweek game against the Gas having previously been sidelined through illness, meaning long-term absentee Jamie Sendles-White is the only Town player definitely out of this weekend’s match at the County Ground.

“We are pretty close to a full squad,” said Williams.

“Anton Rodgers has got a small problem, his back is giving him a lot of problems at the moment. It’s nagging so not major thing but it’s repeating and we need to get to the bottom of it.

“I don’t think Yaser is fully match fit but he is available to take part in the squad.”

Jermaine Hylton, James Brophy, Brandon Ormonde-Ottewill and Jordan Stewart, who have all been sanctioned by the club over the past month for breaches of discipline, also featured against Rovers earlier in the week.

Williams says they are available for first-team selection again, although that does not guarantee them immediate returns to the matchday squad.

“Everyone is available for selection but as I have said, I need to be absolutely sure that anyone who goes on the pitch is at least in the correct frame of mind and ready to give everything,” said Williams.

“They have responded in the exact way that you would wish for them to as professionals and I have been very pleased with that.”
