SWINDON Town defender Raphael Branco looks destined to be heading for pastures new this summer, with two offers on the table for his services, the Advertiser understand.

The 26-year-old Brazilian, who made 39 appearances for the club last term, has not been offered a new deal at the County Ground, with his current contract running out at the end of next month.

As a result, Branco is free to speak to other clubs about prospective moves and currently has two firm offers on the table, including one lucrative deal to lure him to Thailand, while the other is closer to home with the chance to move to Italy.

The central defender, who finished the season wearing the captain’s armband for Luke Williams’ side, has also attracted interest from other clubs in England, but has yet to receive a concrete offer from any of those.

Branco is yet to make a decision on his future but it seems almost certain that it will now be away from the County Ground, a place which he has called home since joining from non-league side Whitehawk back in the summer of 2013.

Campinas-born Branco, who has an Italian passport, is understood to favour a move domestically, with his family settled in England.

However, having seen his brother Igor, who used to play in Scotland for Hearts, move to Saudi Arabian club Al-Faisaly Harmah in January, Branco is open to a move abroad under the right circumstances.
