SWINDON Town goalkeeper Will Henry has been included in a group of 23 players selected by England U19s for a pre-European Championship training camp.

Henry is one of three goalkeepers, alongside Bournemouth’s Aaron Ramsdale and West Ham United’s Nathan Trott, to be selected for the trip to Spain.

The 18-year-old, who made seven appearances for Swindon last season, having made his debut at Rochdale at the end of the 2015/16 campaign, is one of four players who will be having their first experience at that age group.

Having signed a two-year deal last summer at the County Ground, Henry was involved in a two-day England Goalkeepers Camp at St George’s Park.

Henry will head to Murcia with Keith Downing’s squad for six days next week before being part of a further training camp back at St George’s Park prior to the U19 European Championship finals beginning in Georgia on July 2.

The Young Lions secured their space in the finals after picking up three wins from three games against Norway, Spain and Belarus in the Elite Qualifying Round in March.

Their first game comes against Bulgaria in Tblisi on Monday, July 3, before they play the Netherlands three days later.

The final group match against Germany takes place on Sunday, July 9, a game which will be shown live on Eurosport.
