SWINDON Town's teenage striker Scott Twine has joined Evo-Stik League South West side Salisbury on an initial one-month loan.

Twine links up with Steve Claridge's Whites for training tomorrow night and is expected to travel with the squad for the away game against Shortwood United on Saturday.

Twine signed professional terms with Swindon earlier this year after graduating from the Robins’ academy, having scored 30 goals for the U18s last season.

The 18 year old made his first-team debut as a substitute against Charlton Athletic on the final day of last season and alsop played against Salisbury for Town in pre-season.

“Scott is coming on an initial one-month loan so we can have a good look at him,” said Claridge.

“He is highly thought of at Swindon, who tell me he has a good attitude, and comes with a reputation as a goal scorer. Hopefully it will be a good move for both parties."

Town revealed they had agreed to mutually terminate the contract of midfielder Jesse Starkey earlier today.
