CRAWLEY Town’s Dutch striker Thomas Verheydt says there is still plenty to come from him after he returned to first team action on Tuesday night.

The striker, who signed a three-year-deal when he joined the club over the summer from Eerste Divisie outfit Maastricht, has been restricted to just four appearances for Harry Kewell’s troops this season after suffering cartilage damage in his left knee.

The 25-year-old had to spend eight weeks in rehab to recover, but could be back in contention for their FA Cup clash away to Wigan Athletic this weekend.

“It was good to be back. The knee is fine but I now need to work on my fitness and get back up to speed so I can help the team,” he said.

CREWE Alexandra duo Oliver Finney and Daniel Udoh have both returned from their two-month loan deals with Halesowen Town.

Striker Udoh ended up notching six goals in 12 league games for the club, with just one of those appearances coming from the bench during his two-month stint at the Yeltz.

Midfielder Finney, who turns 20 next month, scored on his debut for the club against Stafford Rangers and also made 12 outings.

CHELTENHAM Town’s on-loan midfielder Joe Morrell has been called up to the Wales U21 squad for their European Championship qualifying double header.

Wales face Bosnia and Herzegovina on Friday, November 10 and Romania on November 14 and both games will be held at the Bangor University Stadium However, that means the Bristol City man will be absent for Cheltenham’s Checkatrade Trophy tie with Newport County, plus their league clash with Luton Town.

CARLISLE United manager Keith Curle says he would never prevent top scorer Reggie Lambe playing for Bermuda.

The 26-year-old has six goals to his name so far this term, but missed Carlisle’s 1-1 draw with Notts County at the weekend as he captained Bermuda to a 3-2 defeat at the hands of Barbados.

FORMER Swindon Town midfielder Sean Murray looks set to sit out for six weeks after undergoing knee surgery.

The 24-year-old signed for Colchester United after being released from the County Ground in January.

Since making the switch, the former Watford man has made 16 appearances for the U’s this season, scoring twice.
