Adver Sport run the rule over the performances of Swindon Town's players in today's 5-1 FA Cup first round win away at Dartford.
REICE CHARLES-COOK – 7
Made one wonderful save but had a few uncomfortable moments between the sticks too. So close to fourth clean sheet in a row.
BEN PURKISS – 8
Solid defensively and enjoyed some probing forays forward too up the right, putting Mullin’s goal on a plate.
OLLY LANCASHIRE – 8.5
The Darts had a real dangerman in Alfie Pavey but a strong performance from the Town skipper meant he hardly had a sniff of a chance all game.
MATT PRESTON – 8
Another rock-solid showing and got in all of his usual blocks, tackles and clearances to snuff out almost all of the home side’s threats.
MATT TAYLOR – 7.5
Sent in one beauty of a cross for Elsnik to get Town’s third goal that effectively killed the game and still displays the same hunger and enthusiasm as ever.
JAMES DUNNE – 7.5
Workmanlike in the middle of the park as always and was a cool head to keep Town ticking over.
TIMI ELSNIK – 8.5
Displayed lovely play making skills and got two goals too. Unlucky to have to limp off injured late in the first half.
AMINE LINGANZI – 8.5
A dominant performer once again as the heartbeat of the Town side. Seems to have more time on the ball these days and bagged a goal as well.
PAUL MULLIN – 8
Always willing to try his luck with a shot and his goal was a reward for a tireless performance before being subbed to save his legs.
DONAL MCDERMOTT – 7.5
Lots of endeavour out wide and picked up an assist too. Worked tirelessly and harried the Darts’ wide players into mistakes. Subbed late on.
HARRY SMITH – 8.5
Was a real handful as the home defence could not handle his sheer presence and got on the scoresheet with a stunning strike.
Substitutes:
JOHN GODDARD – 7.5
(For Elsnik, 38) Introduced earlier than he would have expected but some tidy footwork and played a part in two goals.
KAIYNE WOOLERY – 6.5
(For Mullin, 54) Tried to worry the home defence with his pace but just couldn’t quite open up that one good chance for himself.
KELLAN GORDON – 6
(For McDermott, 74) Added late impetus for Town as the game began to drift and was tidy in all he got involved in.
Subs not used: Will Henry, Chris Robertson, Ellis Iandolo, Kyle Knoyle.
