THE words of a Yeovil defender convinced Keshi Anderson that Swindon Town would finally reaps the rewards for their dominance, although the Huish Park match winner revealed teammate Kaiyne Woolery would have been on the receiving end of a verbal volley had he not laid on the points-clinching moment.

Anderson emphatically drove home Town's second goal from Woolery's pass late on in Somerset, as the visitors ensured the scoreboard more accurately reflected the preceding 89 minutes, Kellan Gordon having restored parity midway through the second period after Rhys Browne's fourth-minute opener for the home side.

The reaction from the Town bench, as well as Anderson leading the wave of celebrations into the travelling fans behind the goal told you everything about the significance of that moment, the arrival of which may have been doubted by some, but not the on-loan Crystal Palace man himself.

"To get the winner like that is obviously something special,'' said Anderson, for whom it was a third goal in Town colours and first away from the County Ground.

"Obviously the boys all dug deep and to be the one to get the goal and to come from the team all working hard (is special).

"It was a good time to get the goal and the fans kept pushing us throughout the game so we recognise what they do for us and how they keep pushing us on. It's always nice to just repay them.''

Town started relatively sluggishly and were rocked by Browne's deflected fourth-minute effort, but thereafter it was a tale of visiting control, albeit with the rewards arriving later in the day.

"With the first half they (Yeovil) scored very early on and it was like a kill to the first half instantly,'' added Anderson.

"But with the second half it was 'the first half is done,' we've just got to play our game.

"We knew that with the team that we've got we could pull us back in it. We scored the first goal with Kells (Kellan Gordon) coming on and getting it and we thought if we just keep going on we'll get the win and we did.

"One of the (Yeovil) players said to us, 'your attack is frightening', the way we break and the way we create chances.

"When I heard him say that I thought 'come on, let's keep going, we've got them.' We knew we'd create chances and it was just a matter of 'if we keep doing what we're doing, the players will put it in the back of the net. Luckily Kaiyne picked me out when he did and I was there to put it away.

"He (Woolery) was saying he wanted to shoot but I was saying if he had 'I would have grilled you.'

"I can see it in his face. He's a good player and sometimes in those positions he gets a bit greedy.

"In this moment he made the right decision and squared it and I was there to just put it into the back of the net.''
