SWINDON TOWN 2 YEOVIL TOWN 1

GOALS - SWINDON TOWN: Kellan Gordan 67, Keshi Anderson 89; YEOVIL TOWN: Rhys Browne 4.

Venue: Huish Park

THE match started with Yeovil dominating the game. Four minutes into the first half they got their reward when Rhys Browne tapped in from close range to get rid of Town’s precious clean sheet.

Twenty minutes later Town had a huge chance to level when Keshi Anderson drilled the ball in to the box for Harry Smith who missed the header by inches.

Moments after that opportunity, Town had an even greater chance to equalise when the on-loan Timi Elsnik found space five yards out and took a shot which was superbly saved by Arthur Krysiak, the Yeovil goalie.

Eight minutes later Matty Taylor, who has been an excellent replacement for the injured Chris Hussey, drilled a powerful free kick which went just wide and hit the side-netting.

Yeovil had only one other major chance in the first half which was when Charles-Cook got down well to his bottom corner to pound out Tom James’ effort, with Yeovil’s Sam Surridge smashing over the rebound.

Krysiak was called into action again when Elsnik’s looping header was tipped away.

IN THE second half Elsnik was forced to be substituted and was replaced by Kellan Gordon, who is also on loan from Derby County.

Gordon was very impressive and after coming on he struck a beautiful shot which nestled into the back of the net to pull Town level, his third goal in six games.

Town still weren’t happy with a draw and were piling pressure on the exploited Yeovil back-line.

Their time came with two minutes left when Kainye Woolery dribbled down the left-hand side then passed it in to Keshi Anderson, who riffled home to get Town the three points that they fully deserved.

The fans where chanting “we are going up”. It now looks as if this could be a possibility as we sit in the play-off position.

FULL-TIME: YEOVIL TOWN 1 SWINDON TOWN 2

I HAD the privilege of being a mascot at Saturday’s game. It was a great experience for me having been to most home games since I was three years old.

I was very lucky to walk out with Matty Taylor, who looked after me very well and had a great game for the Red Army.

Taylor asked me how my write ups were going for the Adver, which was great.

It has to go down as one of the best days of my life, running out on to the pitch, meeting the players and topping it off with a win.

My man of the match goes to Kellan Gordon, who was the difference in Town's enjoyable comeback. Gordon made some great runs and played some excellent football in the 35 minutes David Flitcroft gave him.
