REICE CHARLES-COOK: Town needed him early on especially and he delivered the goods with a couple of fine blocks. Little chance with the opening goal. 8
BEN PURKISS: Was troubled by the tricky Dembele, especially in the opening 45 minutes. Not as prominent as the weekend going forward and won’t be happy about the second goal either. 7
MATT PRESTON: Caught out for the opening goal and was given a thorough workout by Jamille Matt, but grew into the game. 7
OLLY LANCASHIRE: Probably not the most comfortable night in the face of Jones and Matt, but did get involved well to force the first-half leveller. 7.5
MATT TAYLOR: Had his hands full with first Jaiyesimi and then Dembele and sent in a couple of dangerous free kicks. 7
JAMES DUNNE: Sat in front of the back four but not quite as effective as on the weekend. 7
JOHN GODDARD: Should have been awarded a penalty when tugged to the ground in the second half, although it was a quieter evening for the former Woking man. 7
KESHI ANDERSON: A quite brilliant goal and he really has his eye in at the moment. A queiter second half. 7.5
KELLAN GORDON: Got involved in the first period but faded in the second. Not as effective as Jaiyesimi and Dembele were for Grimsby. 7
KAIYNE WOOLERY: Had a couple of sighters but also gave possession away wastefully on a couple of occasions and had some culpability in the second Grimsby goal. 7
HARRY SMITH: Put himself about but it was a frustrating night and he was booked. 7
SUBSTITUTES
