Swindon Advertiser:

One to watch - Joss Labadie

COUNTY’S captain Joss Labadie returned after a month out with a hamstring injury as a second-half substitute in Tuesday’s 2-1 defeat by Barnet.

The midfielder was made skipper in one of boss Mike Flynn’s first decisions as manager, scoring a late winner in Flynn’s first game in charge and becoming a key figure in last season’s survival fight.

Labadie began his career at West Brom but went on to join Tranmere Rovers, Notts County, Torquay United and Dagenham & Redbridge before joining The Exiles in June 2016 on a two-year deal, scoring a match-winning goal on his debut.

Defender Mark O’Brien also recovered to start in midweek, but the Exiles lost David Pipe and Robbie Willmott, with the latter definitely out due to concussion.

Key battle - Frank Nouble v Matt Preston

A FAMILIAR face to Town fans after an eight-appearance loan spell at the County Ground in 2010, the much-travelled Nouble is strong in the air and also possesses decent pace.

Starting his career at Chelsea, the former England U17 and U19 international joined West Ham United and has since played for 15 different clubs, including West Brom, Swansea City, Wolves and even a spell in China with Tianjin Quanjian.

He is sure to provide a similar threat to that faced by Preston against Grimsby’s Jamille Matt.

The Town defender had his hands full on Tuesday evening and will hope for better fortunes on home turf.
