ONE TO WATCH: George Cooper

Midfielder George Cooper will have to be kept under control if Swindon Town are to have successful trip to Cheshire when they go toe-to-toe with Crew Alexandra.

The tricky 21-year-old could prove a pain for the left-hand side of Town’s defence as he predominantly plays on the right for David Artell’s troops.

While Cooper, who has come up through the Crewe youth system is still relatively young, he has already racked up over 100 appearances for the club.

Last season saw the 21-year-old establish himself as a first-choice winger, as he made a total of 46 outings in their League Two campaign last term.

So far, he has collected a total of nine assists for the League Two side, in addition to scoring one goal.

KEY BATTLE: Chris Dagnall v Matt Preston

With over 120 career goals and a ratio of a goal ever four games throughout his 14-year career, it’s no surprise that Swindon will need to keep an eye on former Barnsley man Chris Dagnall.

The 31-year-old may not pose as much of a threat as he has done previously, but with six goals so far this season, including two in their last match, Dagnall could prove to be a handful for Town’s defenders.

Matt Preston has come under some critism for his performances of late, something which may seem unfamiliar for the former Walsall man after making such an impression since joining David Flitcroft’s side.

With that in mind, a performance against of the league’s most experienced strikers would do him the world of good, while Dagnall may see Preston as a chink in the club’s armour.
