FORMER Swindon Town defender Jordan Turnbull has been recalled from a loan spell by parent club Coventry City ahead of a likely permanent transfer elsewhere.
The 23 year old, who played nearly 90 times in two spells for Town between 2014 and 2016, had been on loan at Scottish Premier League side Partick Thistle, where he had featured 19 times this season.
Trowbridge-born Turnbull, voted the Swindon Advertiser's Town player of the year in the 2014-15 campaign, joined Coventry City on a three-year deal in the summer of 2016, having previously turned professional with Premier League side Southampton.
After helping City to win the Checkatrade Trophy at Wembley last season, he headed north of the border on a temporary basis in July but the Sky Blues revealed today that they had exercised the recall option in the loan agreement.
Turnbull has been linked with a move to League One Northampton Town, who snapped up midfielder Yaser Kasim following the Iraq international's departure from Swindon last summer.
A Coventry statement said: "The recall is with immediate effect, with a view to Jordan making a permanent transfer elsewhere in the coming days.''
