Adver Sport assess the performances of Swindon Town’s players in this afternoon’s 1-0 win at home to Forest Green Rovers.
REICE CHARLES-COOK – 6.5
Only one real save of note to keep out a low Christian Doidge strike but marshalled his defence well throughout.
OLLY LANCASHIRE – 7.5
Read the game nicely and hardly allowed the visitors a sight of goal all afternoon. Another body-on-the-line showing from the skipper.
CHRIS ROBERTSON – 7
Mopped up nicely as a last line of defence and got into good positions to shut out Rovers just as they looked to have numbers on the counter.
MATT PRESTON – 7.5
Solid at the back, was equal to the physicality of Rovers front two and got in some important challenges as well.
KYLE KNOYLE – 6.5
Energetic on the right but was also strong in a defensive capacity. Seems to be growing into this position with each game. Subbed late on.
JAMES DUNNE – 6.5
Worked tirelessly in the middle and allowed Banks’ more creative nature to flourish by focusing on defensive duties. Booked.
KESHI ANDERSON – 7
Could not quite make the most of some good chances in front of goal but was busy throughout and put a shift in defensively too. Subbed late on. Booked.
OLLIE BANKS – 7.5
A decent debut. Added some needed fizz to Town’s play in the middle of the park and popped up in good positions in an attacking sense too.
ELLIS IANDOLO – 6.5
Another solid outing on the left. Did not see him as much going forward than we have of late but was reliable in all he did.
KAIYNE WOOLERY – 7.5
Another tireless outing. Looked to drive forward at every opportunity and was a handful for the visiting back-line until being withdrawn late on.
LUKE NORRIS – 7
Not a particularly memorable performance but just like he did in Town’s last home match, popped up when it mattered with the winning goal.
Substitutes:
PAUL MULLIN – 6.5
(For Woolery, 76) Could have scored himself but played a part in the goal. Booked.
KELLAN GORDON – 6
(For Knoyle, 77) Limited time to make an impact but showed good energy.
BEN PURKISS – 6
(For Anderson, 83) Helped see out the game in the dying stages.
Subs not used: Will Henry, John Goddard, James Brophy, Matt Taylor.
