SWINDON Town have ramped up their efforts to sign forward Keshi Anderson on a permanent basis from Premier League side Crystal Palace and believe the deal could be concluded in the coming days.

Anderson has enjoyed an impressive loan stint at Town from the Eagles this season, playing 25 games in all competitions and scoring four goals in the process.

The 22-year-old’s loan stint was due to expire following Swindon’s 1-0 win at home to Forest Green Rovers on Saturday but Town boss David Flitcroft hopes a move to make him a full-time addition to his squad can be wrapped up before next weekend’s trip to Coventry City.

“Myself, the chairman and Crystal Palace have been working for probably three or four weeks on trying to get something over the line with Keshi,” said Flitcroft.

“He has not let it frustrate him or affect him, he has just kept doing his business. He has been fantastic in training and had another good game on Saturday.

“If we can get him and nail the permanent deal, I believe he is a player who we can certainly realise his potential.

“I think everyone has worked together. Crystal Palace have been fantastic throughout the loan spell, the communication has been top drawer – as good as I have had.

“They care about Keshi, they have not just sent him on loan and that’s it. They know he is in a good place and been looked after. The club has done everything right by him and he has found a good home.

“Hopefully we can get a deal done. I know Keshi wants to do something with us and in the early part of the week, we are hoping to have something lined up so that he is a permanent player.”

Although Town may get to benefit from Anderson’s attributes on a full-time basis, they will have to do without Amine Linganzi for a spell as the midfielder has suffered a thigh injury.

“Amine has had a scan, we have got the report and there is a tear in his thigh,” added Flitcroft.

“I am not putting a timeline on it but I don’t think I will have him back in two weeks.

“It has probably come at the wrong time as Amine’s physicality would have been fantastic against Forest Green but we didn’t have him.”
