Adver Sport assess the performances of Swindon Town’s players in tonight’s 1-0 win at Stevenage in League Two.
REICE CHARLES-COOK – 7
Hardly anything to do but dealt with Stevenage’s one meaningful shot with ease.
BEN PURKISS – 7.5
Slotted straight into the back three with ease and one spectacular hooked clearance caught the eye.
OLLY LANCASHIRE – 8.5
Mopped up everything that came into the box and ushered away the few dangerous forays the hosts could muster.
MATT PRESTON – 8
Rock solid and a muscular figure at the back. Didn’t give Stevenage a sniff all evening.
KELLAN GORDON – 6.5
Tried to be productive but not a particularly busy evening for the youngster in what was a physical encounter. Subbed.
TIMI ELSNIK – 7
Found space hard to come by and the wet conditions didn’t help but still showed his eye for an incisive pass.
OLLIE BANKS – 7.5
Got what turned out to be the winning goal early on but took a bang soon afterwards. Neat and tidy in his play.
KESHI ANDERSON – 7
Worked tirelessly and tried to get the Stevenage defence moving backwards in what was a difficult night for forward thinking players. Subbed.
MATT TAYLOR – 7.5
The corner set up the deciding goal was one of a number of dangerous balls into the box. A wise head on the left.
LUKE NORRIS – 7
Ran hard all night in an effort to keep the home defenders on their toes but was feeding off scraps in terms of chances.
MARC RICHARDS – 7
Like Norris, didn’t have a great deal of service to work with but still made a nuisance of himself when possible.
Substitutes:
PAUL MULLIN – 6.5
(For Richards, 78) Added a bit of energy late on.
JAMES DUNNE – 6
(For Anderson, 83) Battled hard to close the game out.
CHRIS ROBERTSON – 5.5
(For Gordon, 90+2) No time to make an impact.
Subs not used: Stuart Moore, Kyle Knoyle, Ellis Iandolo, Kaiyne Woolery.
