ONE TO WATCH: Mickey Demetriou

DESPITE being a central defender, Mickey Demetriou has been making a name for himself at the other end of the pitch for Newport County in recent matches.
The 28-year-old has come up with the last two goals the Exiles have scored, against Coventry City on Good Friday and having previously netted Crewe Alexandra six days earlier.
Demetriou joined Newport on a free transfer in January 2017, having been without a club for eight months after his release by Shrewsbury Town.
After making 17 appearances at the back-end of last season, Demetriou has gone on to establish himself as key man at the back at Rodney Parade in 2017-18, making 47 appearances in all competitions – the second most in the squad.

KEY BATTLE - BEN PURKISS V PADRAIG AMOND

STRIKER Padraig Amond carries Newport County’s chief goal threat, with no one in the Exiles squad able to boast a higher return than his 11 strikes this season.
However, the Irishman is without a goal since January 30, having failed to notch in each of his last 11 games.
Given Swindon Town’s injury issues at present, Ben Purkiss (left) has become a key man at the back so Phil Brown may well look to him to keep Amond quiet once again.
