The holiday fixtures end with a home game against the Shrimpers.
The reverse fixture was not that long ago. Back in November, the Robins travelled to Roots Hall and earned a point with a 1-1 draw.
That made it nine games in a row that Southend have not managed to register a win against Swindon. Let’s hope the run continues on Monday. Three points for Town would not go amiss.
At the time of writing, Swindon had not gained any points from their Christmas matches, going down 2-0 to Millwall at The Dell on Boxing Day.
Conceding an early goal, showing some good spells, conceding a second goal, and then capitulating. The same ol’ game plan. We need it to change, and sometime soon.
