SO, the die has been cast. It is make or break time. The fans have been crying out for changes and although it may not be what some want in the way of new management or owner, we do have eight new squad members, brought in during the January transfer window.
Alongside the three Chelsea loanees and the return of Ben Gladwin, Nicky Ajose returned on loan on deadline day, with Rohan Ince also coming in.
There were two permanent signings made as well. Dion Conroy from Chelsea and Jesse Starkey from Brighton & Hove Albion.
There you have it. The hopes of the fans and management rest on these additions to the personnel. Will it be enough? Only time will tell.
There may be a baptism of fire for some of the new players this weekend with the arrival of Oxford at the County Ground on Sunday. The midfield will look a bit stronger with Gladwin, Colkett and Ince and with target man Ajose up front, hopefully he can get the goals we so desperately need.
No more chances, no more excuses. Three points please boys. Nothing else will do.
