The Great Escape is back on track. Can the boys pull off Mission Impossible?
Back-to-back wins have given everybody some level of belief and new level of hope. Why is it that we can beat teams vying for promotion but can’t put relegation rivals to the sword?
Victories against Bury, Oldham, Chesterfield and Port Vale would have meant that we would probably be safe by now. As it is, we are still in a dog fight for our League One status.
With the next three matches against mid-table opposition, there is more optimism in our chances of survival. MK Dons, Wimbledon and Walsall are all safe from the drop, with no chance of reaching the play-offs. They are playing for pride, but they can still inflict devastating wounds on our plight. Six points from the next three games will give us a tremendous boost.
Who knows, we could take the fight to the last day of the season, but it must continue with a win at the County Ground this weekend.
Come on you Reds!!!
