SHAW, Highworth H B and Shrivenham & Watchfield were local winners at Coleshill United’s six a side tournament, held at Supermarine, and contested by 95 teams.

Shaw beat Coleview Juniors 1-0 in the under nine final, while Shrivenham & Watchfield were victors by the same score against Brinkworth Cats at under 11 level.

Highworth saw off Liden Community by a single goal in the under 13 showpiece.

Other local sides to reach finals included Liden Community under 10s, who lost 1-0 to Hungerford A.

Liden’s B team were also edged out 3-2 on penalties after a 2-2 draw in the under 12 finals against AFC Newbury.

The hosts’ B team were narrowly beaten 1-0 by Didcot B in the under 14 final.

OTHER RESULTS: Under 7 - Most sporting team: Blunsdon Colts.

Under 8 - Most sporting team: Liden Community
