Spitfires swoop for league cup double

GIRLS' FOOTBALL

THERE was double cup final success for Swindon Spitfires as they lifted the Wiltshire Women's & Girls League Under 12 and Under 10 titles respectively.

The under 12s claimed a 2-0 win over Swindon Town at Melksham, Tyler Smith's double proving enough for victory.

Amy Bains' strike in the first period of extra time was enough to give the under 10s victory over Melksham Town Youth.

TEAMS Spitfires under 12: Jemima Gover, Nikki Bailey, Susmita Shahi, Tara Golding, Courtney Stevenson, Stephanie Quince, Tyler Smith, Francesca Blackmore, Scarlet York, Tiffany Gibbons.

Spitfires under 10: Karolayne DeSouza-Byrom, Mya McKnight, Ella McKnight, Amy Bains, Julianne Russell, Paris Vincent, Gabrielle Bickell, Mollie Craig (Captain), Rosanna Hurst, Daniella Granato, Maneesha Jassal, Emma Clayton.
