n North Wilts League under 15s won the inter league representative team competition by beating their Oxford counterparts in the play off final.
In what was often a physical encounter, the North Wilts players overcame strong opposition and created enough chances to win comfortably.
The victory was secured by captain Ollie Armstrong, midway through the first half, when he finished accurately from the edge of the box after fine play by Rekowski and Skeates. North Wilts went on to dominate the game and were unfortunate not to increase their lead after man of the match Josh Skeates out-jumped the defence and was denied as the ball rebounded off of the cross bar.
As with many of the team's performances the success was built on a solid defensive performance. The outstanding McCarthy, Cole, Lowe and Southby at the heart of the defence enabled impressive midfield play, in which Luke Giles and Kris Redford caused many problems for their opponents.
