ALL eyes will be on the prolific Stuart Fleetwood this afternoon, but former Town and Forest Green Rovers star Alan McLoughlin insists their is much more to the non-league outfit than the nation's top goalscorer.

McLoughlin, who made 136 appearances for Town in two spells between 1986-90, believes the biggest threat to the Robins' FA Cup dreams could come from somebody living on their own doorstep.

Paul Stonehouse, from Wootton Bassett, may not have hit the headlines so far this season but McLoughlin, pictured below, warns Town cannot afford to let him slip under the radar.

The German-born forward broke into the Rovers' first team last season after loan spells with Yate Town, Cinderford and Gloucester City.

McLoughlin said: "I first saw Paul when I was helping with the Academy side at Forest Green.

"Stuart Fleetwood has attracted a lot of attention and rightly so because he's been scoring goals for fun.

"But I hope somebody has told Swindon about Stonehouse because he's got a great left foot on him.

"Paul will be really looking forward to the game and I hope he does well. I know his family will be watching so hopefully they have a good day."

McLoughlin spent three years at the New Lawn as player-coach between 2002-05, but the former Manchester United trainee insists much has changed since then.

He tips Town to scrape through this afternoon, but warned: "The Forest Green boys are training full time now, which makes a massive difference.

"But if Swindon get it right on the day they should be too strong.

"Really there will be no excuses if Swindon lose. I know Paul Sturrock has walked out on them but they just have to get on with it.

"I'm sure Dave Byrne has got them well prepared and being the League One team they should have too much firepower."

With speculation rife as to who will succeed Sturrock, McLoughlin confirmed he would not be throwing his own name into the hat.

But the former Town player believes Swindon will look to attract another high-profile boss to follow in the footsteps of Dennis Wise and Sturrock.

He said: "If I had a pound for every time somebody has asked me who will be the next Town boss this week I would be a very rich man.

"Steve Cotterill is one name I have heard mentioned. He has good experience and he's based in Cheltenham.

"Swindon Town always attracts good managers, people who think they can come in and do something because of the pedigree of the club.

"It has fallen by the wayside lately, which is disappointing, but hopefully they will soon get back to where they belong."
